KaFu

Before she was "Mom,"
she was someone.

Mother Book listens to the voices of women —
as mothers, wives, and people living their daily lives —
and shapes them into short written pieces
through conversation and interview.
A small storytelling project by KaFu.

Talking reveals what
writing cannot.

Mother Book is not a place where you write.

Through conversation with a listener,
you find words — for daily life, family, the past, and what comes next —
little by little.

The words you speak are shaped by KaFu into a short piece.

It is not only a text for someone else to read —
it is a record for you to receive yourself, once more.

Toward the voice beneath
all the roles.

As a mother, wife, and woman —
there are many roles asked of you each day.

But beneath them all,
there is what you have felt as one person,
what you have thought,
and feelings left unspoken.

Mother Book is a place to hear that voice —
without rushing, without judgment,
quietly.

No special story needed.

There is no right answer to what you share.

  • Parenting.
  • Family.
  • Work and daily life.
  • Changes in body and mind.
  • Your life so far.
  • Something you noticed recently.
  • A small memory you've never told anyone.

In what we pass over every day —
there is a story that belongs only to you.

How Mother Book works

1

We listen

A KaFu listener will hear your story at your own pace. You don't need to speak well.

2

We shape it into a short piece

Based on what was shared, we craft it into a short, readable piece.

3

You review it

The content is always reviewed and approved by you before anything else happens.

4

You choose how to share it

Public, private, anonymous, or named — we choose together what feels safe.

Choosing not to share
is always an option.

Mother Book is not built around the assumption of sharing.

After the piece is written, you choose whether to make it public.

Anonymous publishing, sharing only within KaFu, or keeping it as a private record — all are welcome.

What matters most is receiving your own words,
within the boundaries that feel safe to you.

For you, if —

  • Someone who wants to be heard, slowly and fully.
  • Someone who wants to capture a self beyond 'mother' or 'wife.'
  • Someone who wants to gently sort through their past.
  • Someone who wants to put small daily feelings into words.
  • Someone who isn't comfortable posting on social media, but wants their story kept somewhere.

Mother Book is a place where you are heard
before you have to write a word.

Start small. Just talk.

Even if the words haven't formed yet — that's okay.
It can start slowly, from a conversation.
